What the ladder buys instead is drivetrain, ride height and rubber. Around the Lehigh Valley that matters because the same truck has to survive the Route 22 merge on a Tuesday and reach Rausch Creek on a Saturday.
2026 is a carryover year in a generation that began in 2023, so the engineering is settled. Chevrolet builds it one way only, as a crew cab with a five-foot bed and five seats, which keeps the whole lineup under 213.2 inches long. Move up the ladder and the money buys drivetrain and suspension: the Trail Boss adds a two-inch lift and a two-speed transfer case, and the ZR2 brings Multimatic DSSV dampers, two electronic locking differentials and 10.7 inches of ground clearance. Maximum trailer weight is 7,700 lbs, properly equipped, on the crew cab — no gooseneck or fifth-wheel figure is published.
