About the 2026 Chevy Silverado 1500
The 2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is Chevy's full-size, light-duty pickup, offered in nine trims (Work Truck, Custom, Custom Trail Boss, LT, RST, LT Trail Boss, LTZ, High Country, and the off-road ZR2) from a starting MSRP of $36,900 up to about $71,800. Four engines are offered: a 2.7L TurboMax turbo four-cylinder, the 5.3L and 6.2L EcoTec3 V8s, and a 3.0L Duramax turbo-diesel, paired with Regular Cab, Double Cab, and Crew Cab body styles. Properly equipped with a conventional hitch, the Silverado 1500 tows up to 13,300 lbs and, properly equipped, hauls up to 2,260 lbs of payload, enough for everyday work and weekend hauling between job sites around Allentown and runs out toward Reading, Quakertown, and Catasauqua.
The High Country adds available Super Cruise hands-free driving, a 13.4-inch touchscreen, and leather seating, and the Silverado was named America's #1 full-size pickup for initial quality in the J.D. Power 2025 U.S. Initial Quality Study. For 2026 the lineup largely carries over ahead of an expected redesign, with a new RST special edition joining the range. Towing a trailer?
